Reason Why We Should Thank Our Parent Why Do Catholics Call Their Priests "father" When We Are All Just Brothers And Sisters In The Eyes Of God?

Why do Catholics call their priests "father" when we are all just brothers and sisters in the eyes of God? - reason why we should thank our parent

And do not tell me it's the same reason why we call our mothers, parents and the father, because there is a difference between a biological father and a spiritual father ..

I'm confused.

Atheists, I'm sorry, I respect you, but I will ask a Christian.

Thank you .. =)

The verse will probably be read on the spot where Jesus said, "Call no man father" (Matthew 23:6-7) in context. Jesus told the Pharisees proud.

Jesus was not condemning the spiritual fatherhood (cf. 1 Cor. 4:14-15). It was too easy to condemn a man to a place that only wanted to get belongs to God.

The 12 students were the spiritual fathers of the early Christians, if Christ is in heaven. What Jesus is condemning our spiritual parents, on the basis of equality with God - that is always bad.

Catholic priests, respect, for they ordained to administer the sacraments and the faithful are to teach. Therefore rightly seen as "fathers".

But our adoration and worship of God by aloNE. It is the source of all truth and goodness.

Peace be with you +
