16 liters. refers to the ability, not the number of bottles that may contain one quarter. I could never cook my food just the pressure in a warm bath, and I've never had a problem.
The biggest pot I've seen has seven liters. I think the 16 liters refers to the ability of the device.

Jan C is good .... to 16 liters of water. Gas stove? Boy, I miss him. Much better for all types of cooking. You can use the heat better.
How long is canned? Many? I used my lobster pot with a rack on the floor and enough water to cover jars by one inch. Good luck!
